What to include in your enquiry
The more context you can provide, the more useful our initial response will be. Helpful details include:
- Site location and approximate size
- Development or land use proposals
- Project timeline and key milestones
- Any existing ecological information
- Specific concerns or requirements
If you have site maps, preliminary drawings, or previous environmental reports, we can review these during our initial consultation.
Survey seasons and timing
Some ecological surveys are season-dependent. For example, breeding bird surveys must be conducted between March and June, while bat activity surveys require specific weather conditions. If your project has tight planning deadlines, get in touch early so we can advise on optimal survey windows.
We work throughout the year and can often accommodate urgent requirements, though survey timing ultimately depends on the species and habitats involved.
Working with us
After your initial enquiry, we'll arrange a consultation to discuss your project in detail. This might be a phone call, video meeting, or site visit depending on the complexity and location.
We'll then provide a detailed proposal outlining our recommended approach, timeline, deliverables, and costs. No obligation – you'll have everything you need to make an informed decision.
Once you're ready to proceed, we'll schedule fieldwork and begin the assessment process. You'll have a dedicated project lead who'll keep you updated throughout.
